In my opinion art is pointless if our senses are unable to sense it.

I can agree with you, somewhat. The exhibit isn’t actually “invisible,” though. If it were invisible, we would see nothing, or we should have our eyes covered. I interpret invisible to mean that we see nothing.
I am extremely offended by one “art” piece. I don’t even like to call it art… The room with fans at each end, the water inside used to cool the room, having been used to wash the bodies of dead Mexicans.
We can feel it, sense it on our skin, so is this art?
I think it’s disgusting and I wouldn’t stand for two full seconds in that room. I also think she (the artist) could have honored the dead Mexicans differently.
Some artists go crazy in their attempt to be different and noticed, and unfortunately, because of their name, they succeed.

I see a lot of crazy art, and though it challenges, I ask whats the point?
Jul 10, 2012 @ 08:38:13
The point is to stroke the ego.

Egotism, the mindtrap, yep I agree.

This minimizes real art and artists, all true artists should consider this a slap in the face.

I equated (pun optional) the show with the simple mathematics above, with quote, end of quote and copyright symbol.
Here’s what it looks like in my mind –
Remember Reginald Denny? LA riots?
Art is Reginald Denny, being kicked and nearly killed by human beings expressing ideas. I have to wonder why, with so many expressive, beautiful, thought provoking, emotive artworks being created every day, by known and unknown artists, why such bland, pompous, sickening and ridiculous IDEAS are being shown to the public as ART.
